How It Works: Referrals & Getting Started
At Karuna Support, we believe that accessing community support should be simple and free from unnecessary red tape. Because we are an independent, non-regulated micro-provider, you do not need a formal clinical diagnosis or a complex agency referral to work with us.
Step 1: Direct Contact We accept direct referrals from individuals, family members, social workers, and NHS social prescribing teams. Getting in touch is as simple as sending an email to neil@karunasupport.com or using our website contact form.
Step 2: An Informal Chat We will arrange a relaxed initial consultation to discuss your situation. Moving away from rigid medical models that focus on deficits, we collaborate to understand your personal strengths, goals, and the community spaces you want to reconnect with.
Step 3: Tailored Planning & Funding Together, we design a flexible, relationship-led support plan. We work seamlessly with Devon County Council Direct Payments, Section 117 Aftercare funding, Individual Service Funds (ISFs), or private funding.
Once the practicalities are agreed upon, we begin working side-by-side to build your recovery capital and support your independence.
